How do I heal if I'm sore?

Healing is a natural process which your body undertakes when it is damaged. Soreness is sometimes a result of healing. Be kind to your body and get some extra rest, plenty of non-alcoholic fluids and try to refrain from smoking to heal.

Generally, you should follow the RICE protocol if this is a joint injury such as a sprain or strain. Rest, Ice, Compress (by wrapping an Ace bandage around or otherwise putting pressure on the injury), and Elevate. Ibprofen and hot baths can treat general soreness.

You have to do stretches. Do it slow, like yoga. It would help a bit. You can also get massages. Don't do any heavy lifting. Exercising is good but leave some time to rest, don't lay down. Walk slowly afterward and do more stretches.

My best recommendation if it is basic muscle pain is to put an ice pack on it. If the pain persists see a chiropractor, masseuse, or physical therapist.
