First of all, do not scratch it at all. Coever the area with calamine lotion. Do not put a bandage on the area.

One thing that is applied is calamine lotion this will help stop the itching and cool and soothe the skin, do not scratch.

you also cold put rubbing alcohol on it and it will dry out the rash of poison oak... also if you dont have rubbing alcohol put hand sanitizer...... also calamine lotion does rely good on stoping the itching

A thorough soap and water wash of the affected area followed by a liberal application of an over the counter Calamine lotion.

One thing that can relieve the itch and promote healing is oatmeal. It works as well as anthing I've bought. It will still take some time to go away.
