Your body is probably trying to get used to the change in your diet. Part of the reason is that vegetables and fruits contain way more fiber than carbs and proteins. You may want to increase the amount of carbs (good ones) and protein to balance your diet. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids so you don't become dehydrated.

You should not. I have been one for three years now and have great digestion. Make sure you are getting enough nutrition. You need complete proteins in your diet because you are not consuming meat. One way to get a complete protein is to add whole grain rice to beans.

Perhaps the reason you are having digestive upsets is because your body is getting used to a whole new diet. Give it time, vegetarians usually have no problems with diarrhea.

Having switched to veganism 10-months ago, I can tell you there is a time period of adjustment, though your constant problems seems unusual, make sure you are not lacking nutrients.
