The pain all depends on your tolerance. In my experience, lip piercings are the least painful and are easy to heal when done correctly. It will probably feel like a quick pinch and will be a dull fading pain for a few minutes.
When lip piercings have healed and are not infected they should not hurt. Sometimes a peircing runs close to a nerve and is sensitive, sometimes they get infected, and when healing they do.
