Can you use Listerine as a bug spray?

Listerine contains menthol, eucalyptol, and thymol. These ingredients, while pleasant to humans, are disgusting to most bugs. While it is unlikely that Listerine will kill any bugs, it can be effectively used to keep bugs off of the skin and deter them from coming near you.

Yes and no, DO NOT cover yourself in it but if you spray them directly it'll make it harder for bugs to fly and or move.

Everything I read says Yes, this does work! I would apply a dab to your pulse points, throat, back of neck and knees or where you are apt to sweat. Spraying a dilute solution around where you are sitting is said to work a charm.

The odor of Listerine will act as a deterrent for some bugs and spraying on them does not kill them only stun them. The alcohol in evaporates to quickly.

Yes you can the thing you have to mak sure is when you do it you have to use original literine and it work really well by itself but if you want to be totally bug free add a little Citranella oil to the listerine and all bugs will stay away from you.

I used Listerine to get rid of bits on my leg that I was having treated with ultra rays. The Listerine did wonders and I didn't see the doctor again.

Listerine has been used in a pinch on insects and tends to send the packing. Unless you a lot it may not kill them. Since Listerine contains Alcohol it's effect is short term. You are better off with a product designed to kill bugs and keep the Listerine in the bathroom.

Listerine acts as a great mosquito repellent. Rub on your arms or spray where you are sitting and mosquitos will not bother you.
