Can thyroid disease cause light spotting and a urinary tract infection?

Thyroid disease is not associated with urinary tract infections. However, it can cause menstrual abnormalities and may result in spotting. That's why thyroid diseases should be evaluated by medical professionals.

Thyroid disease, either hyper or hypothroidism is associated with menstrual abnormalities and can cause spotting. Thyoid disease is not assocaited with urinary tract infection, and the infection needs to be treated seperatly.

I have had thyroid disease my whole adult life and have never experienced my thyroid causing either one of these conditions. I never heard of this happening to anyone in connection to thyroid disease.

It can cause a change in your periods, light to very heavy. As far as the urinary tract infection, it isn't caused by this, but there might be something that you are taking that can cause this. Family history, constipation, fatigue, weakness are some other signs.
