Is it common to have back pain with a urinary track infection?

I am having back pain with a urinary track infection.

Yes. It's very common to have lower back pain during a urinary tract infection. It should go away once you treat the urinary infection with medication. You can AZO over the counter or get meds from your doctor.

Back pain is fairly common with urinary tract infections. Normally just below the ribcage on one side or the other. This is actually related to the kidney. Could also indicate problem or infection of kidney. If antibiotics don't clear up the pain and infection this indicates another check by a doctor.

Urinary tract infection is characterized by painful/ burning micturition, chronic back pain localized exactly behind your bladder or kidneys, If there is occlusion anywhere in whole urinary tract due to stone, carcinoma or renal tuberculosis there can also be hematuria. Painless hematuria is almost always cancer of UTI.
