Can an employer discharge an employee due to garnishment?

No, an employer cannot discharge an employee because of a garnishment for one debt. However, if an employee has garnishments for more than one debt, the employee can legally be fired.

No. It is not legal to end employment due to paycheck garnishments. They can discharge you if debt collections and personal calls have ruined your productivity.
