Are there other options for lice other than Rid lice Shampoo?

Yes, a lot of pharmacies have store brands that are just as effective as RID. If you prefer a more natural approach, try tea tree oil. Something in it repels lice away from the hair and kills them. It is also non-toxic if a child should happen to swallow it.

It's very time consuming but you can use a nit comb to pick individual bugs and eggs from the head. It will probably take a few days but it's worth it.

this sounds crazy but it works. put pure mayonnaise on the hair. coat it on like your using mousse on your hair. work it in, get it all over. its disgusting. once its cover, take a shower cap, cover the hair with the cap tight. leave it on for 24 hours. this should kill the lice. repeat for nits.

Well, other than Rid, there is Tea Tree oil, which , if added to your regular shampoo, does a decent job. There are also perscription medication that is stronger than the over the counter material.

Dampen hair then put plenty of hair conditioner on to it and rub it into the hair. You need a nit comb. Lean over the wash basin or bath and, using the nit comb, comb through a small segment of the hair at a time. Any live lice will fall into the basin. Repeat daily for the next few days.

Yes, cleaning out the hair with a lice comb will help remove the lice and eggs, but a lice shampoo must be used to kill the lice.

Actually yes but its kinda of weird.Try mixing Baby oil and Listerine and down you hair with it. It smothers the lice.

There are generic versions of Rid lice shampoo. They all work the same. If you are dealing with lice, make sure you follow the directions thoroughly and treat every one living in the same house. Also wash all your bedding in hot water and dry on high heat to kill any remaining eggs.

Many who get lice get prescription shampoo from their doctors. Ask your doctor what there are for options (theres tons of products out there that help). Another option for removing lice is to cut your hair to about shoulder length, usually a hair salon will do this for those with lice.

Yes there are different options to kill lice, You can use a hot comb and straighten the hair with it. The application of the hot comb does not help, but the heat kills the lice and eggs.
