After a C-section, how long does it take to lose "baby weight?"

Answer by  Rose (6804)

That all depends on how active you are and how much baby weight you gained during your pregnancy. Give it time the weight will come off.

You can't exercise until your stitches heal. So it may be a while. It varies from Woman to Woman on how long it is going to take you to loose the baby weight.

Well, you will lose some of the weight right away... however much the baby weighs (6-9 pounds), the fluid and placenta won't be in you anymore - So figure you will probably lose 10-15 pounds right off the bat. The rest of the weight will take a bit longer. If you nurse, it will probably come off quicker.
