Why would my ABS light be on in my Pontiac Grand Prix after I just changed my brake pads?

I am afraid that maybe something was not put back on right.

The abs light needs reset after every brake change take it to your closest dealer or you can look oround on the web and find out how to do it.

Either you did not change something correctly, or a sensor is not operating correctly. After years of working on cars, sometimes the only solution is to take it to a certified tech, and have them hook it up to the computer to see what is going on.

There might be air in the fluid lines making the car think that there is no fluid going to the pads.

The ABS doesn't usually have anything to do with the brake change intervals. This light is used to signify that there is something wrong in your ABS system. Do a check on all of the components in the system and if you don't find any problems the try clearing you trouble codes and see if it goes off.

You need to get a mechanic or autoshop to turn off the warning light using the unit that runs codes, etc. Try the shop where you bought the parts.
