If it is locked and will not unlock. Or if some other interal issue is preventing it from opening. You will probably have to remove the door panel inside so that you have access to the mechanical components of the door latch. You should be able to manually move the rod that releases the latch in order to open it.

Sounds like your linkage inside the door has come apart not allowing the handles to operate properly. You will probably have to find a way to get the door panel off, or some what off from the inside of the car. You'll need to get your hand or some kind of object in the door to pull the linkage.
