There are various superstitions in different cultures that have considered the number 13 unlucky throughout their history. While the number isn't actually unlucky in itself, there are negative connotations associated with it that scares many people.

This and a superstition. Assuming that the number 13 is unlucky, then you will have bad luck with this number. Everything you believe, your subconscious will make manifest. If you believe that 13 is lucky, lucky you will have.

October 13, 1307 the King of France arrested the Templar Knights for heresy. The King of France was once turned down for the opportunity of becoming a Templar Knight, before being made a king. He never got over the rejection of being turned down as a Templar Knight and this is where this is derived from.

The origins of the 'unluckiness' of the number 13 seem to dervice, in the most part, from religion. It is associated with the 'Last Supper', as the total number of people present was 13 (12 disciples and Jesus), and also in Norse mythology when Loki started a riot at a feast attended by 12 other gods.

It goes back to Medieval times when the Pope and King of France worked on eliminating the Knights Templar. The Knights were rounded up and subjected to torture and punishment and death. From that date in history forward, 13 became an unlucky number for the western world.
