Why is my Blackberry deleting messages before they are received and read?

Your phone probably isnt deleting messages, it's just not recieving them. It could be a problem with your account or network may be down. If you call your service provider they should be able to help.

Check your BlackBerry memory goes to menu> options> status. sure that is not the message memory full. now you just have to push button menu and then options then general settings where it says save messages then click menu button and then save. If the memory is full, delete all messages that do not need

You were probably in a bad service area. I found that my Blackberry does that sometimes as well. If it keeps happening, call your provider.

You may want to check to see how much memory you have on the phone. Then you can remove the batter and put it back in to reset the memory.
