Traveling leg pain could be at the heart of several issues. Of foremost concern would be a potential pinched nerve in your back or hip, this would cause pain to shoot from one area to another. Left untreated, a pinched nerve can lead to permanent pain and damage to the impeded nerve. See your doctor.

It makes sense for pain in your leg to travel up your body when you put pressure on it. Since it's your leg, you're bound to put pressure on it.

Pain in your leg radiates up and down your leg as it moves along your sensory nerves & so this is the sensation you get.
