A lot of babies get red cheeks just from drooling and spreading that drool around with their hands. There are some illnesses, like roseola, that can also cause red cheeks, so be sure your baby doesn't have a fever or other illness symptoms. Really red cheeks can also come from dry skin conditions like eczema.

Your baby might be running a temperature or a fever, or might naturally have red checks (also a medical condition called rosacea which you might want to look into if they have it).

It could be a case of eczema in which case your pediatrician will suggest hydrocortisone cream for treatment and Cetaphil lotion for prevention. But if you are worried it may be something else just have it checked with your child's doctor.

Babies have very sensitive skin so your babys red cheeks can be caused from something as simple as her blanket constantly rubbing against her face or clothing. If the redness doesn't go away check with your pediatrician.
