The redness on the lower eyelid can be caused by an ete lash being bent into the eye irriatating it. It could be the beginning of a sty. It could also be just a broken blood vessel or even the start of an infection. If there is no improvement a physican should be seen..Applying ice may help also.

It sounds like it is swelling/reacting to some kind of damage or infection. If you are running a fever, the swelling gets worse, or the redness expands, you should see a doctor as soon as possible.

Conjunctivitis may be caused by a ruptured blood vessel in the eye. Have you injured your eye recently or rubbed it hard? It can also be caused by a viral or bacterial infection, or by allergies. For a definitive diagnosis and treatment, see an ophthalmologist.

There are many things that can cause this, but this sounds like the symptoms for Blepharitis, which comes from bacteria. The most obvious diagnosis is a stye. THis can come from poor hygiene or dirty contacts.
