Chicken comes in buckets in case it is not cooked all the way it cannot fly out. There are two reasons chicken comes in buckets. People order large amounts, so a bucket could fit all of them. Chicken has a lot of grease so in buckets, it goes to the bottom.

Chicken comes in buckets because it is any easy and low cost way to transport it versus wrapping up each individual piece in paper. Plus when you look at it that way it is a green solution!
