Why do people get black spots in their eyes?

If you are speaking of black spots in your vision (while looking out of your eyes), it could be several things, one being a detatchment. When this happens, you must notify your ophthalmologist at once to make sure you are not having those problems.

Usually black spots or black rings are a sign of bodily neglect, if it be fatigue, hunger or restlessness. Also it can be a result of problems with the liver. They usually are very common on people.

Black spots in the eye are very common but can be very annoying. They are known as floaters since they seem to float around in and out of the field of vision. It has not been proven what causes these floater but it is beleived they are dead cells from with in the eye.

Black spots usually occur when something changes in the crystallins lens of the eye. This casts a shadow onto the eye, commonly referred to as a "floater. " When the floater moves around the eye and makes its way directly in front of the retina, black spots occur. This condition is not serious or threating.
