Question by  VictoriaWallace (51)

Why do my breasts itch?

They itch all the time but are especially itchy in the mornings.

Answer by  carol (1241)

There could be a variety of reasons. Check your skin for any kind of bug bites if you have been outside lately. Or perhaps you have dry skin that need some moisturizer applied. If you have constant itching you should visit your doctor.

Chances are the skin is dry -- I never find creams helpful. Drinking more water helps a lot and when my nipples itch I put chapstick on them -- works great!

They could be growing. If you are pregnant, nursing, gaining weight, or still developing, then I would put my money on this. Otherwise it could be that something you're using (detergent, soap) is aggravating the more sensitive skin there. If you feel any other sort of pain in your breasts, I would speak to your doctor.

The most likely cause is an irritant in your sheets. You may be reacting to a new detergent or fabric softener. It's also possible that the skin is stretching. You don't give us your age. If there is no rash, perhaps try a different soap. If there is a rash, see your health provider.

Some hairs there are growing. So it becomes itchy. There's a myth about that, if your breast itching your boyfriend is flirting with other girls.

Could be caused by sweating while you sleep or dry skin if you bathe prior to bed. You could also be allergic to the soap used to wash your bedding.

It sounds like you're allergic to something. Make sure there isn't a cream, lotion, body wash, jewelery, or fabric that bothers your skin.

They could be itchy because of an allergy, dry skin, eczema, over any other skin problem. I have a problem with excessively dry skin so that is why mine itch.
