Why are there mushrooms growing in my shower?

There are probably mushrooms in your shower because you have not cleaned it lately. Mold grows in showers and if left untouched can develop into mushrooms.

Mushroom have spores/"seeds" that are very hardy, small, light and therefore travel easily. They like dark, damp conditions to grow in with a source of decaying material for food. The shower provides decaying material(skin) and damp.

You probably have leak and mold! This is not a mushroom to eat-remove it with tongs and get some shower clearner. Also, fix that leak!!
