You should definitely go to a doctor to have that checked out- long-term diarrhea can lead to many health problems including dehydration or worse. You may have diarrhea because your body may be malfunctioning in some way, or you may have a water-borne illness such as amoebas, or intestinal worms. It can also be a sign of something like salmonella.

Diarrhea can be caused by a number of things. Some of these include allergies, a virus, bacteria and/or parasites, medications, surgery, and certain foods such as artificial sweetners. Digestive disorders can cause diarrhea also. Check with your physician to rule out an underlying cause.

Diarrhea generally is caused by a virus, bacteria or parasite that has either gotten into your body through food or another toxic source. If you have experienced diarrhea for over a month, you need to contact doctor immediately. In the meantime, eat foods like crackers, rice or toast to help settle your stomach and absorb excess acid.

A month of the runs means "see a doctor now!" Either you have an infection, or else a serious condition that requires diagnosis by a doctor. Your condition is unlikely to pass on its own, as diarrhea is usually self-limiting, unless it is due to a very eccentric diet.
