General Tso Tsungtang was a Chinese military leader during the Qing dynasty. He served during the 14-year-long Taiping Rebellion in which millions of lives were lost.
Chinese statesmen Zuo Zongtang was known as General Tso. He was a military leader in the late Qing Dynasty. He was born November 10, 1812 and died September 5, 1885.
