Some say Marconi, while others say Tesla. Some argue that it was Marconi but Tesla beat him to the patent office. I say Tesla invented radio since his research was dated before Marconi's.

It can't be said that a single individual invented the radio. Modern radios as we know them emerged in stages involving a number of discoveries and developments of the transmission of electromagnetic signals. However, Guglielmo Marconi is sometimes called the inventor of the radio, although this is a complex issue because of the many aspects that make up radio technology.

Marconi is generally credited with the creation of the radio, though technically Nicola Tesla had patented most of the technology that Marconi used. Marconi sent and recieved the first radio signal in 1895. Reginald Fessenden created the first "talking" radio in 1906.
