The nucleus of a cell controls all of the cells activities. The nucleus is the organelle is the central neural network of the cell's body, functions and chromosomes. Lastly, the nucleus also controls reproduction of cells.

In a eukaryotic cell, the nucleus holds the DNA, so it determines what the cell does, its reproductive cycle, and what the new cells will do when the cell reproduces.
