Which exercises are best for someone with a weak ankle?

I have a weak ankle.

I would recommend any exercise that involves flexion of the calf muscles and ankle. While there are many variations, some of the best exercises can be done seated or standing, like calf raises. Seated is preferred if you are extremely weak in the ankles. Once strength has improved to an acceptable level, one may add some extra weight for resistance.

Start doing calf raises. It will not only build up your calves, but the muscles around your ankles as well. Start with your own weight, then grab some dumbbells after a while to build more strength.

I would say situps, crunches, walking. Stationary bikes and eliptical machines will help too. I would stay away from jogging or running due to the angle of your feet.
