The appendix is located at your right side of the large intestine. The large intestine starts on your right side of your body, it goes up to the abdomen, then across the width of the abdominal cavity, then it goes down and finishes with the anus. So, the large intestine starts with the appendix and finishes with the anus.

The appendix is attached to the large intestine and located in the lower right area of your abdomen. Scientists today still do not know the purpose of it.

Your appendix is located in the lower right quadrant of the abdomen. It's connected to the cecum which is part of the large intestine near the colon. There seems to be no real use at all for the appendix, and only noticed when it becomes inflamed, and needs to be removed.
