Pop the hood of your s500 and look for the climate filter. There's a cowling at the back which covers this filter. Take off the filter. You will now see the blower and the blower regulator. Do you wanna change the regulator or the whole blower?

If you have a voltmeter you just need to check the voltages when the blower runs to see if the regulator is working. You will need to unwire the blower a little, but it's rather simple. add a comment
How comfy are you with car and auto parts. The S500 ('97) is not for novices. If you have no idea where to start looking for the blower it is unlikely you will have any idea repairing the blower or it's parts even if you identify it. Get a mechanic!

Yup, you will find plenty of mechanics and auto store who can do this in a jiffy! The S500 was a popular model and so even local shops can get your repair done. add a comment
