A truck can have more than one, but the typical location is on the drive shaft right before the rear end. The joint allows the drive shaft to move up and down while the transmission side slides in and out when you hit bumps.

Typically the "u-joint" or "universal joint" is located under the vehicle in the drive train. It is a cross type joint that connects the drive shaft to the differential. Two sets of bolts are used to hold onto two sets of bearings that allow for some angle changes in the drive shaft angle.

Truck U-joints are typically found on front solid axles. They are also found on both ends of rear and front (4x4) drive shafts.
