Kemah, a well-known tourist destination, is near Houston in Galveston County, in the Galveston Bay area. A boardwalk and marina provide access to neighboring Clear Lake and Galveston Bay. Apart from Houston, it's nearest neighbor to the south-east is Bacliff. The Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center is only a few miles away.
