dating

Question by  doodles1982 (21)

Is it legal for a 15 year old to date an 18 year old on the state of Texas?

I am 15 and my boyfriend is 18 and my parents do not know his age.

As long as your relationship is not sexual then it probably is not a problem. It is however a poor idea to keep this fact from your parents as it could end up looking really bad in the end.

It is not ilegal for ya'll to date but if you have intercorse and your parents find out they can have him put in jail. I did the same thing I was 15 and I dated a 19yr. old and live in TX my parents never found out. But I would advice you to end the relationship.

Yes, it is legal for you two to date, but you have to be careful about how far you go in your relationship or he could face statutory rape charges for having sex with a minor. Obviously your parents have met your boyfriend but just do not know how old he is. It would be best to let them know.

It is legal for you to date. However, it is not legal for you to engage in sexual intercose or to marry with out your parents consent. Becuase your boyfriend in 18 it makes him an adult. When you turn 18 you can be worry free.

The age of consent in Texas is 17 so if you are only 15 and your boyfriend is 18 you are not legally old enough to consent to sexual relations. If your parents are ok with you dating at 18 year old you can do it but if someone doesn't like it your boyfriend could be busted.

It is not illegal for a 15 year old and an 18 year old to date, but it would be illegal for you to have sexual relations. If this were to happen, your boyfriend is likely to go to jail.

According to the law of the state of Texas, there is nothing to say there is anything wrong with dating between those ages, but the law does prohibit sexual relations of a minor with a legal "adult. "

First off, there is nothing against the law about dating, no matter how old you are, or what state (or country) you live in. It all comes down to, what are you doing in this particular relationship. If you are being "more than friends" in the state of Texas, then this is illegal.

in the state of texas it is not illegal to date unless you have sexual relations. i have plenty of friends that are in the legal system and when i was 15 i was dating a 24year old. it is perfectly legal as long as no sexual relations are involved.
