The maned sloth also known as the three toes sloth lives in Brazilian rain forest. It is found in the eastern part of Brazil's rain forest. The sloth enjoys the wet habitat the eastern Brazil rain forest offers and is found high in the canopy of the forest so it can find its favorite food the Cecropia tree.
The maned sloth lives in the Atlantic coastal side of eastern Brazil. They may be found from sea level to around 1,000 feet above. They are found in areas where the rainfall level is at least 47" per year.
