Where can I get ideas for family reunion speeches?

My family reunion is soon and I am the MC.

Looking through old photos from previous get togethers and outings is a great way to get inspiration for the speech. Choose the pictures that remind you of your most special times together. Use those pictures and the feelings the you associate with them to guide you in writing the speech.

Use a search engine and put "family reunion speech ideas" in (without the quotes) and get some ideas from those results. I would start off with something generic, welcoming everyone to the event and making a comment about how pleased you are to have everyone all together. Try to keep things light and fluffy but short and sweet.

Be honest. Have a tempo of highs and lows throughout the history of the family. Avoid issues in the current generation. Point out many generations have faced and overcome adversity.
