Question by  Danellia (134)

Can you give me some good ideas for demonstration speeches for kids in middle school?

I don't want to get into anything too complicated and that requires a lot of props.

Try "I have a dream" by MLK, or "The Ballot or the Bullet" by Malcolm X. If you're just looking for something dramatic, try Shakespeare's "All the world's a stage" monologue. Your answer will vary depending on whether you are looking for speeches from demonstrations, or speeches to demonstrate to kids in middle school

The best thing would be to look at things you are interested in, and go from there. Look at your hobbies and talk about one or more of them. A few props could make the speech even better, but wouldn't b required. If you're interested in the topic your speaking about, you're more likely to give a better speech.

I would definitely go into traffic informations, giving them demonstrations on how to read road signs, how to behave in a correct way in the street, and so on.

Have students watch a speeches that are inspirational or famous, depending on what skill you are teaching. While viewing the speech, point out voice, effect of pause and other mechanics you need to teach.
