"Coming Home" BY Alter Bridge is a great song and it portrays a struggle of a man and then he is coming home while the lyrics say: "Now I`m coming home, lost on the road I dont belong. " So he says that he was lost before and now he`s coming home. It`ll be great I think.

I think "Celebration" from Kool and the Gang is always a big hit and always gets everyone dancing and reminiscing about the 1980's.

I'd say it depends on the age generation that will be making an appearance. If it's an older cround go for the oldies. If it's a mix then pop.

I'd think some jazz would be nice, like Kenny G. It's really relaxing. You could also try some classics, like "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. However, if you're the rocking roll kind of person, then I'd suggest anything that doesn't have vulgarity, and isn't too loud (or else it's party music).

I would think of the music that you heard at family gatherings of the past-- weddings, for example. My family is weird and Italian, so most of ours was polka.

An ideal family reunion song is basically one about some formal or informal getting together of relatives and close friends. Some examples are We Are Family and Reunited.

A popular song which was a hit when the family members were younger is always a good choice, since all should likely know that song and maybe even remember the lyrics and sing along.
