The best way to practice catching for a softball team is to find a buddy that will go with you to a softball field and practice pitching to you the high lobs of slow pitch softball ( or an experienced pitcher for fastpitch ).

The easiest way is to find someone who wants to work on their pitching and work with them. You have to be able to catch a very fast ball.
