How do you catch a rattlesnake?

Please use extreme caution if you attempt to capture a rattlesnake. If you are not a trained professional do not attempt this, it is dangerous and could be illegal in certain states, communities and wildlife areas. The other issue with capturing a rattle snake with the intention to sell it is that the selling of dangerous animals is highly regulated.

Pin it's head down with a stick and then put it in a burlap or canvas sack. Be extremely careful not get bitten!

Obtain a stick that is length of snake's striking distance, keep your distance. Be careful not to disturb it which may cause coiling/striking. Without touching snake, place crotch of Y below jaw area, quickly push stick to ground, set opening of bag in front of snake, bag and tie top.

You can catch a rattlesnake with a long pole with a V on the end to hold the head and use a pillowcase to put it in.

Steamer trunk. Fishing rod. Apple on the end of 30lb. test line. Rattlesnake bites into the apple, you whip the line towards the opened steamer trunk, then close the lid.

My advice is to not even attempt something like this. The risk of injury is too great. Even professional snake catchers get bitten. Also, depending on where you live, it may be against the law to capture and/or sell rattlesnakes. If you still want to proceed, call a professional to catch the snake for you.

You have to get control of it's body from right behind the head. Use a long stick to pin it down and then scoop the snake into a cloth satchel.

One must have a solid container with a ventilated lid.Get a long pole with an attatchment for safely grebbing an object.Stay a few feet away and quickly snatch the rattlesnake with the pole and sit the snake in the container. While holding the snake down with the pole,close the container.

Locate a long stick or just something long. Take this objeck and pin down the snakes head. Keep the head pinned. Now grab snake with other hand behind head.

It would be best to use a capture stick. A device that has a loop of cable or cord at the end of a pole to capture snakes.

Get a stick with a y at the end, pin the head of the snake down, grab snake behind the head. Then pickup the snake and put into a container.
