Question by  Keezy (30)

When do you start potty training a toddler?

My sister claims they should be trained by age two, but I don't think that works for most kids.

Every child is ready at a different time. Age 2 is very early, especially for a boy. A toddler should be showing interest in the toilet, like copying what you or older siblings are doing, or wanting to sit on the toilet or potty. They should be able to identify urges to go to the bathroom.

You start trying to potty train a toddler between ages 1 1/2-2, but if they aren't interested don't push it. Wait until they are interested in using potty and than potty train them.
