yes if you do it properly, then you can train any animal to do anything they are physicall capable of doing.

It is possible to litter train a pet rat. One needs a flat container and the best place to put it is where your rat normally eliminates. Put some waste in container. Clear bedding from rest of cage. Encourage the rat by placing it in the container. Reward positive results.
