Wrestlemania was created by Vince McMahon. The first Wrestlemania was held on March 31, 1985 at the Madison Square Gardens Arena in New York City. Long time employer of the WWE and ring announcer Howard Finkel was the one who came up with the name Wrestlemania. The event is held yearly and is the biggest wrestling show of the year.

Wreslemania was conceived in 1985 by the original WWE owner, Vince McMahon Sr. Since then, the event known as Wrestlemania has been held twenty-six consecutive times, which has helped the WWE gain extensive success through its mainstream popularity. Wrestlemania is now succeeded by the now-Chairman of the board, Vince McMahon, Jr.
