The difference between the Pharmacy Tech 1 and Pharmacy Tech 2 is that the 2nd one has more inhouse training and educationt hat qualifys then to do more things.
There is not much of a difference except for the responsibilities each has. The pharmacy tech 2 has more added responsibilities such as verifying insurance procedures.
Pharmacy tech 1 performs basic duties. Tech 2s are more experienced and may assist in managing and training tech 1s. They also perform more advanced pharmaceutical duties and record keeping.
Pharmacy Tech 1 and Pharmacy Tech 2 are in the same class or job description, but with different salary levels. A Pharmacy Tech 2 can make up to 5% more.
