Heel pain is normal and a part of the growth process. Thus, you should not worry. Just massage your toddler's heels.

My best guess would be that his shoes are to blame for the heel pain, he may have also stepped on something. Try asking him he just may know what happened.

If they bumped or twisted their foot that could result in heel pain. Also shoes that are too tight and rub against the heel could be producing the pain. If none of these are suspected check with your pediatrician.

A toddler using the foot in a way it was never designed to be used could cause heel pain. Examples of this are running or playing on a hard surface.

A toddler can have heel pain for many reasons. A child may have shoes that do not fit correctly, stomping his feet, or walking problems.

It could either be the shoes that they are wearing while walking or just that they are walking too much! Just give a light massage to ease the pain.
