As long as the pain is a direct result of a potassium deficiency then supplements will indeed help. However, if the pain is prolonged and initially caused by injury, you should seek the assistance of the nearest physical therapist for an in depth analysis.

If the pain is muscular (as opposed to bone related) then it is possible that potassium can help because it is an important ingredient in keeping all our body cells healthy. Have you checked that there is not an underlying injury there that needs treatment?

Potassium supplements are generally used to help people who suffer from muscle cramps or "charley horses." Unless your heel pain is related to muscle spasms it most likely will not help. A more effective treatment would be orthotics for your shoes.

No they will not. The potassium levels in your body are tightly regulated and have no relationship to pain, heel or otherwise. Infact, in many people potassium supplement can be dangerous as high levels can cause cardiac arrhythmia. See you doctor for an evaluation to the cause of your heal pain before taking supplements.

A potassium deficiency usually is associated with muscle cramps in the feet and legs. Heel pain probably has more to do with something bone related.
