What were the best bands of the 70s?

The 1970's were one of the most prolific periods in popular music. Some of the best, and still known bands whose height of popularity were in the 1970s inlclude Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, The Bee Gees, ABBA, and Pink Floyd. All these bands would appear high on any critics list.

There were a lot of good bands in the seventies. Some of the best ones in my opinion are Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rush, Bad Company, Creedence Clearwater Revival, KISS, Grateful Dead, Van Halen, Sex Pistols, Foghat, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Boston, Thin Lizzy, Nazareth, Journey, Foreigner, etc.
