If you take it to a jewelry store or a watch kiosk (like in a shopping mall) they can easily fix it with the tools they have. It is usually inexpensive and easier than doing it yourself.

Well if it is too big then make sure you take it to the watch band shop. They will give you a new band. Unfortunately, it is hard to adjust an existing band.

if it is a leather band make a hole useing a small punch and hammer, in case of steel band just cut the extra portion by metal cutter. after cutting put the holding pin in the alligned hole, and i think your watch is ready to fit in your wrist.

Check online to see if there are other watch bands that you can maby order online that would fit for your size wrist. if not you could possible shorten it by cutting and sewing it if you really like it that much.

It depends on whether you mean a metal band or a fabric band. Metal bands can be shortened by very carefully removing one or two of the links. If it is cloth, you can use an awl to make a new hole for the buckle.

Take a small penknife to both sides and gently pry the ends of two adjoining links until they are sticking out, remove small u shaped pin connecting links for sizing.

OMG - "it is hard to adjust an existing band"..."metal cutter"...buy a new one online? For Rascal the OP: Google it, you'll find that tbk has the correct answer albeit rather brief.
