Ozzy Osbourne used to be the lead singer and songwriter of British heavy metal band Black Sabbath. The band was formed in 1969 in Aston (an area of Birmingham) by Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Bill Ward. Ozzy left the band in 1979 due to conflicts with his fellow bandmates.
