Clean the sore with Hydrogen Peroxide and then apply Neosporin to the sore. This cleaning should take place 2 to 3 times per day. Any more than that and the peroxide can dry the skin out. If there is not a noticeable improvement or a worsening of the sore, contact a veterinarian.

If the sore is mild, gently clean it using a plain cloth and lukewarm salt water. If the sore is very raw and red, take the cat to a vet.
