on slow internet connections, gmail takes a lot of time to open and if it does not open it automatically asks for HTML version. so you use HTML version if normal is not opening.

Check whether given username and password are correct.If incorrect,there can be difficulties in opening gmail.Also check whether the internet is connected,and if the browser indicates that page cannot be displayed then there is some problem in net connection.Try to load basic HTML for slow connections.

First you need to check whether the network is connected, then you should make sure you have entered the right username and password, you also enable the javascript,if they still do not work, you have to reset your gmail from another email left during your registration.
