What precautions do you need to take for a baby bed?

I don't want my child to get injured because I didn't know what not to put in bed.

An infant does not need anything in their crib. Place only a snug fitting sheet on the mattress. Loose blankets should be kept out and opt for warm pajamas instead.

When buying make sure that a soda cannot fit between the slats. For infants, put nothing in the crib, except the mattress with pad and sheet. Swaddling is a good option. Once baby can roll over, sit up, etc. , it is probably safe to put a blanket over him/her. Until then, use footed pajamas or sleep sacks for warmth.

You need to be sure that there are no pillows in the bed with your baby because baby can't yet use them. You should also avoid using plastic bags, too.
