What paint do you use for painting outdoor concrete steps?

The steps on my stoop have not been painted in many years and are showing wear and tear.

I have had good luck with a concrete paint product called "Sure Step." You can get it at most hardware stores and it comes in a variety of colors. Be sure and clean the item to be painted thoroughly before beginning. This paint also has help keep people from slipping when they walk up or down the steps.

The best paint to concrete walkways is a two-part epoxy paint. Mix an anti-slip additive into the paint to make it less slippery during wet weather conditions.

I would use the same paint used to paint garage and basement floors. They are more moisture resistant. Gray is usually the best color.

Use a paint made especially for floors. Use a low sheen, because glossy finishes can become slippery when wet. Sand can be added to paint to help with traction.

Use a paint specially formulated for concrete floors and porches. You can find this in the paint section at major home improvement stores. Make sure the floor is scraped of any loose paint, and clean and dry before applying paint. Two coats will add more durability and last longer, and three would be even better. Let dry between coats.
